Cancellation Policy

Applies to tours sold by Gigil Travel (Kültürel Turizm LTD. ŞTİ.)

This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, changes, and no-show cases are handled for different tour types. The applicable terms are determined by the product category shown on the tour page and booking confirmation.

General Rules

All cancellation requests must be sent in writing to Gigil Travel. A booking is considered cancelled only after written confirmation is issued by Gigil Travel.
Clearly marked non-refundable tickets, permits, event admissions, transportation, hotel reservations, or other third-party services already purchased on the customer’s behalf may be deducted where applicable.
No refund will be given for no-show, late arrival, missed departure, unused services, early departure, or any part of the tour not used after the service has started.
Any request to change travel dates, route, hotel category, rooming, pickup details, passenger names, or other booking elements after confirmation is subject to availability and may result in additional charges. In some cases, a requested change may be treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
If Gigil Travel cancels a tour for operational, safety, weather, supplier-related, or minimum-participant reasons, the customer will be offered either an alternative date/program or a refund of the amount paid to Gigil Travel.
Where mandatory local consumer protection laws grant the customer broader rights, those laws will apply.

Tour-Type Specific Terms

Group Daily Tours

Best suited to regular scheduled daily departures.
For cancellations made 48 hours or more before the tour start time, Gigil Travel will refund the amount paid in full, except for any clearly marked non-refundable items already purchased on the customer’s behalf.
For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour start time, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total tour price.
If a group daily tour cannot operate because the minimum number of participants is not reached, the customer will be offered an alternative date/program or a refund of the amount paid to Gigil Travel.

Private Daily Tours

Applies to tours built around dedicated vehicles, guides, reserved time slots, private pickups, or tailor-made planning.
For cancellations made 72 hours or more before the tour start time, Gigil Travel will refund the amount paid in full, except for any clearly marked non-refundable items or tailor-made service costs already incurred.
For cancellations made between 72 hours and 24 hours before the tour start time, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total tour price.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start time, or in case of no-show, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total tour price.
If one or more passengers cancel from a private daily booking, the private tour price for the remaining passengers may change and Gigil Travel reserves the right to recalculate the booking accordingly.

Group Package Tours

Applies to scheduled package or multi-day departures sold on a group basis.
61 days or more before departure: full refund, except for any clearly marked non-refundable services already purchased on the customer’s behalf.
60 to 30 days before departure: cancellation fee is 20% of the total tour price.
29 to 15 days before departure: cancellation fee is 35% of the total tour price.
14 to 8 days before departure: cancellation fee is 50% of the total tour price.
7 days or less before departure, or in case of no-show: cancellation fee is 100% of the total tour price.
If Gigil Travel cancels a group departure because the minimum number of participants is not reached, the customer will be offered an alternative departure/program or a refund of the amount paid to Gigil Travel.

Private Package Tours

Applies to package or multi-day tours arranged with private vehicles, private guides, reserved accommodation, pre-purchased tickets, or tailor-made planning.
61 days or more before departure: full refund, except for any clearly marked non-refundable services already purchased or any tailor-made service costs already incurred.
60 to 30 days before departure: cancellation fee is 25% of the total tour price.
29 to 15 days before departure: cancellation fee is 50% of the total tour price.
14 to 8 days before departure: cancellation fee is 75% of the total tour price.
7 days or less before departure, or in case of no-show: cancellation fee is 100% of the total tour price.
If one or more passengers cancel from a private package booking, the package price for the remaining passengers may change and Gigil Travel reserves the right to recalculate the booking accordingly.
